Captains chair wobble fix

I followed the instructions on the wiki (http://wikrad.com/delica/index.cgi?capt ... wobble_fix) last night, and it's a HUGE improvement. I didn't have the wiki handy while I was doing it, so it took me longer as I had to figure out the last part of the process.

A huge thank-you to whoever wrote the wiki howto. I highly recommend this to anyone else that has wobbly chairs.

Cheers,
Luke

Well if you like that little improvement, then maybe try something like this on your captains seats (well, the one by the sliding door anyway)

Captain seat 90 degree modification

I wasn't sure if it was going to work or be any real use because I don't think anyone had ever done it before, but I use it a LOT when we go camping. I am so glad to have done it now and would recommend it to anyone who is fairly competent with taking things apart (and putting them back together again!)

Budget for about 2 hrs start to finish if you follow my guide closely (including cup'o tea breaks.... :-D )

I think the tie raps to hold the spring in the rebuild process is the best part! :-D
Always a card up your sleeve don't you!

I'll save that one for a nice summer day when my wife and kid are out for the day...
Cheers!

I did this today (the wobble fix). Took a little longer (about 2 - 2.5 hours not including drive time) because I had to go buy some tools (oh poor me) and the inside of my chair was slightly different than the posted pics. 95% improvement on one, 70% improvement on the other. Second chair much quicker than the first. Hardest part was putting a stubborn r-pin back in and then putting the chair back on the sliders - pretty finicky.

I'm far from talented, but I found the "wobble fix" really easy, and it was a 100% improvement, WELL worth the time! I used the instructions that were in the FAQ section, don't know if they're still there or not...

Did the wobble fix last week and should have done it the same week I got my van! It's a very easy fix and a huge improvement.
