Ok - so not at interesting at anything Bruce put's out there...(thanks by the way...love to live vicariously through adventures in the South of England - brings back memories of competing at Bisley circa 1983!!!) - or the photos of Gary'O's amazing upgrades - but figured I'd throw out a couple of shots of the Easter long weekend in the land of the free and the brave and the completely devoid of Delica lust - I did not see a fellow Delica or other RHD vehicle for 4 days. Interesting to note for me is that my family spent a great deal of time actively searching for other RHD vehicles. Although this may sound odd - when up here, in the great white north (as we all know it becomes immediately upon crossing the 49th parallel) my lovely children love to make quite alot of fun of me for searching out other RHD vehicles - in particular Deli's. Interesting how this obsession passes on to the next generation in at least a small way...or at least when out of the country.
Also - another anecdote.....my 15 year old was quite embarrassed to be dropped off at high school in the delica starting last September. A couple of weeks into the semester she asked me to pick her and friend up from the mall. Upon arrival, her friend stepped into Exceedus Maximus and promptly declared "I saw this at the school the other day and thought this was the coolest van ever!" - so I mentioned that my daughter was not that impressed when I first brought it home and her immediate reply without any hesitation was "well, I wouldn't want my dad to have one either".....ok, so I continue to completely misunderstand youth, or young women, or just anything related to teenagers in general...but what I do know, is that I'm driving the coolest van ever and my daughter is completely embarrassed.....wait till I get the Conan the Barbarian and scantily clad maiden air brushed on the side!!!!!! She'll never speak to me again.........which might be a good thing i guess??? Ok, just kidding!
So, pardon the digression...photos as follows!!!!!
