Now this sounds interesting...

too bad it's in May, would rather it was in the middle of summer.

Weather aside, I still miss Calgary after all these years. Can hardly wait to move back when I finish my service.

What branch of the service are you in?

The Senior Service, of course. Nearly 20 years now in the Navy, so I don't have much longer before I can pack up Moon Machine and head back to the Prairies!

Sounds like a good time for sure! If I'm in town I'll definitely bring Bork on down for the festivities.

Cheers

I/we'll be there. Might even drag a potential Deli owner to it so he can see a bunch.

Sounds interesting, especially the cruise part.

Haven't been in a boat for a while...

I'll try to be there.

Just curious about this event... Did anybody go? How was it? I was thinking about going but I was the only one who wanted to go so it was Calaway park instead. Majority won.

It'd be nice to see some pictures...

I was there. Lots of Skylines, 2 other Delicas, including a Chamonix 8 seater. That was my first look at the bench/jump seat. Couple of Pajaros, Land Cruisers. About 30 vehicles total

My favourite was a Nissan Figaro. Cute retro.

I took only a couple of photos, friend took lots. I think he said he would post link on IVOAC. If he doesn't, I'll try to post the link here.

I didn't take part in the drive to Cochrane -- went for lunch instead :-)

I took a bunch of photos at that event (I drove the red Mini to the show and an MR2 for the cruise). My wife and I were happy to see some Delicas at the show. It confirms that we really really want one still.

Here's a link to the photos I took...

Awesome pictures. Two comments:
  • - I loved the ground effects on that red Mini!
    - I especially liked the sticker "IT'S DIFFERENT, NOT DANGEROUS" because that is something we're all having to deal with when we speak to people who haven't researched these vehicles. (I understand it was a bit more difficult out there in Wild Rose Country because of a couple of coincidentally-timed crashes, but that's for another thread).
Wish I could have attended. Maybe next year...

Glad you liked the photos, Mararmeisto.

That 1991 Rover Mini ERA Turbo is a rare and oh so cute little beast. I believe there were around 400 ever made. The turbo gives it a bit of kick and the four wheel disks stop it quickly too (compared to the ones with four wheel drum brakes that I've driven!). More info, pics and links related to this car can be found here...http://www.zenautoworks.ca/Current%20St ... NI_ERA.htm

I agree with the "different not dangerous" sticker and thought of Delicas when I saw it. I picked up some 15years.ca stickers for our future Deli during the meet too.

I'll be there next year for sure...not sure what we'll drive down, maybe the GT Four.
