I also thought it might be a Toyota Hiace but I defer to the knowledgeable Delica nerds on this forum. And I mean "nerd" with the highest level of respect!

hard to be certain from those photos, but I don't think it's a Delica either...

that said, I'm pretty sure the Delica wouldn't fare any better... Elephants are crazy strong creatures!!

Got a definite Toyota look to it, similar to this one (which isn't getting beat upon by the elephant).

I think the word you are looking for is "Geek". Nerd has negative implications. Everyone has had a "geek" moment (known as "geeking out") nobody will freely admit to having a "nerd" moment.

In short, "Geeks" are socially acceptable, productive members of society. Nerds are hidden away in their parent's basement, with nothing more than Michael Jackson audio tapes, Star fleet uniforms (all too small)to wear and a bucket of fish heads to eat!

I think it is a Hiace. Especially the second pic, looking at the wheels. Although the side mirrors look more like deli mirrors. But who can tell through all that dust and carnage.


...and I think geek and nerd are synonymous.

the lights, bumper and part around the plate look wrong for a delica too...

The back window is wrong also... cant be a Delica... heck last I checked, 9 out of ten elephants say they are intimidated by Delica and just hightail it to the jungle when confronted by one.
