Have been intriqued with these things for about a year. couple of friends have them. so i did some digging on buying local vs. importing myself, and chose the latter. After a some time consuming of research I have bought a 92 exceed high roof auto with 102,000 km on. and a 91 exceed auto with the crystal lite roof it has 106,000 km on it. chose to go with my own container, and having a cutoms broker handling all the paper. will drive one and sell one. Im sure its going to be a learning curve...steep. but its not everyday you bring cars over from japan! found this site most informative, and will no doubt be checking in often.

welcome. and enjoy. I'm sure you'll be able to help out a bunch of people who come here with questions about importing yourself.

Good luck

Sid,

Congrats, keep us posted on the importation process. I know I am always interested in hearing more about how it is going with government inspections. Welcome to the delica owners club. It feels good doesn't it? Bet you cant wait to be driving it.

How did you find the delica to import yourself? I've been looking at a lot of internet sites - auctions and dealers. How did you find one you thought you could trust?
