How to replace speedo/tach light?

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

How to replace speedo/tach light?

Post by snelson »

Hi folks, I've searched the forum and found some great posts/links regarding replacing interior lights (getting some LEDs now for sure). But the reason for this post is that I can't find any info on replacing the light for the speedo and tach? First time driving in the dark tonight and had no idea how fast I was going. All the other dash lights work like the gear indicator lights, turning indicator lights on the dash.
Is it a single light, or two, just take the dash off? Are they the 31mm festoon bulbs like the others?
Anyone had to do this before?
THanks all
Steve

Hey Mardy - thanks very much for the info. But I've checked all the bulbs and they all look fine - every one of them.
I should mention that I've been trying to install my stereo, so I'm wondering if I've fried something? The kicker is I've checked all the fuses under the driver side dash and they all look fine - plus, all the indicator lights work fine, just not the overall greenish dash lighting.....
Any other thoughts guys? there's not a dimmer tucked away somewhere is there?
Thanks
Steve
