Hi all, here's a quick video starting at the turbo, then rolling back to what I think is the rubber transmission mount? Looks to me like it's torn and I'm thinking this is why I get a bit of shaking/vibration when starting off the line.....
Can anyone confirm?
Thanks
Steve

Yes it is the tranny mount.
Kind of hard to see but it does look like one "arm" is starting to tear (the side closest to the tranny).

Thanks guys - 104 bucks from Rocky Mountain Imports.....going to swap this out soon. Sounds like its a pretty easy process - all you need is a jack.
Going to check the motor mounts too.

$95 a piece in MaxOverdrive and 15 minutes to replace them. Looking at the original 16-year old mounts I am wondering if this is another item that must be included in a post-import maintenance?

A bit off-topic, but where did you get those ramps? That's exactly what I need for the driveway. I used a set of stands, but that's not the same unless one is trying to get a wheel off.

I crawled under the van and I was able to see the tranny mounts in the back of the van. (Thx for the pictures + video) They also look like they're up for replacement... I still have 2 questions about this:
#1: I'm not sure if these mounts go only in the back or there are some in the fron as well? The ones in the front are the "engine mounts"? Where are these... I didn't seem to find them. Can anyone post some pics on how to find them, plz?
#2: How many "pieces" did you guys replace/ had to buy to replace all the tranny mounts?
Thx from Calgary,
Fabio

Not to down play MaxOverdrives tranny mounts, cause they seem like a nice price including brackets. But when our first van was at just over 40,000 kms they were shot (over 120,000 now); we took the brackets in, waited almost a week for the ordered bushings to arrive, and then get em pressed in. That was several years ago but I think the total cost per was $75.

Hey Fabio - If you look at the video, press play then quickly press pause. You can just barely see the heat-shield over the rubber engine mount to the left of the first frame or two. There are two engine mounts, the other one is directly on the other side of the engine. I haven't actually replaced mine yet, but pretty sure there's just the one tranny mount. Both apparently fairly easy to replace as Profister shows.....
Great pics Profister, glad to know it's as easy to do as I 've read.....

Hey Paul,
Those ramps are not mine; the friend of mine bought them in Can Tire several years ago, so I am not sure if they are still available.
To the audience:
there are 2 more mounts I need to replace. They hold the bar transmission is mounted to. I am not sure what to refer to but I am providing the pictures and would appreciate the feedback.
Thanks in advance.
Sergiy.

Hi, sergie,
thats also a part of transmission mount. but that one you cannot get it juts the small rubber mount . mitsubishi sells only new for about 200-250 the cost expensive.
that one is attached in the main body,
separate than the one attached in the transmission.

Hey Sergiy,
We need to replace our transmission mounts as well, but how did you managed to get the from Maximum Overdrive for $95 a piece? If I look at their website, the mounts are $220 a set + tax.

The price on the website is regular price. We have little better pricing for delica.ca members, time to time, we list parts with price on delica.ca which is not same as on our website. Sorry for any confusion.
