Hello All,
It has happened twice~engine off, lights turned off, running lights stayed on. Both times I had to remove the positive lead to my battery terminal. Has anybody experienced this before? Suggestions welcome.

sounds like the DRLs are wired straight to positive and not to powered when key is in on postition.

Thanks for your insight. I just removed the fuse from the relay and, voila, problem solved. I don't need no stinkin DRL's. Japanoid says the relay box I'm using, Hamsar, is so crappy they no longer stock them. Replacement cost for something decent~$75.

Oh just when I thought I had things under control...my damn lights stayed on again! So it's not the relay. If my DLR's were wired incorrectly why would they have worked for weeks and now work only intermittently?

The cops pulled me over because my headlights were off in broad daylight... I'd like to see them doing that to ALL the post 90? 91? vehicles... ha! My fuse was out because they're wired to accessory power, so they're on if I'm just listening to music, and that's not cool.

Wow, I've never driven anything new enough to have DRL's and had no idea it was a legal requirement on newer vehicles. These headlights have been the bane of my Delica experience right from the start.
