30" BFG AT's. averaging 10/11km per liter. Went through 3 tanks so far. Mix 40/60 city/hwy.

Hi Paul
Mileage check would be easy. There are plenty of measured distances to compare the two sets of tires, for example on Highway 1. As for the speed you could measure not only the odo readings but also the "time made good" between the same two points and compare them. Or if you have one at your disposal, use a GPS.
Cheers
Tom

I have 30" (with less than 10 000km so not worn out) and my GPS indicates that when my speedo shows 100km/h I'm actually going 103km/h...

Hi Paul,
Check the tire inflation when cold, read your max psi rating on the tire. On our BFG At 30 is VERY very hard to tell when under inflated, due to tough sidewalls. Makes big difference in fuel.
Also, look underneath for fuel leaks around fuel pump, injectors, (minor leak in the pressurized system caused hard start, lotsa smoke, poor mileage ...the usual stuff). Leak not enuf to drip to pavement, but hovered on the deli bits.
Cheers, Christine.
