Here you go buddy - great minds think alike!
$100 and I drove it home! (with no brakes and no clutch!)
...and within a few minutes of getting it on the drive I've already added my first 'upgrade':
Ladies & gentlemen, I present to you....the
Micro Monkey!
Basically a Suzuki Super Carry, but rebadged and sold in the UK as the Bedford Rascal (that is really what it's called!)
This is gonna be my main work van once I've given it a mechanical overhaul. 50mpg and loads of space in the back considering its size - it's the perfect gift to myself and my bank balance now that diesel is nearly $5.00 a litre!!
It'll be getting some black paint on the wheels and some Mud Monkeys graphics on the sides (yes- that is the name of my business!)
What a hoot - what a laugh - what a motor for the money!

So lift it and mash some mud in it?

or work... super slick ride, I love the mod. I have a 4 door suzuki coming in a month, it'll be my new project. How are those DOA badges coming along? or are you to sidetracked with all this vehicle tweaking?

$5 a litre? wow, no wonder you can get an L300 cheap. ouch, and I cringed at 1.48/L today... glad I am going veggie again in 2 weeks.

Micro Monkey? Love it! Definitely needs bigger tires though.
Should look good when you get the graphics on the sides. Another steal of a deal!

If I could find some wheels like Josh has on his then I'd be made up, but for now I'll be running it 'as is' in order to keep things simple and keep the costs down.
Next time I'm over in BC, that Josh guy had better keep a close eye on his Zuk or else he may come out one morning to find it sat on bricks and one Brit disappearing into the distance with a very big grin on his face....

Hey Bruce,
They'll be a fleet of us with Delicas and Carry's up here soon. I am getting one as well (when Josh's order comes in). Already planning the kit for it. I am going to trade my welder in on an small engine driven one (Miller Renegade 180) and mount that in the mini truck. Built a canvas canopy, roll bars, sick wheels, and I'll have the most portable welding truck in Canada.
Anyone want a lovely Citroen??

Bruce,
Get some 17's for your micro monkey... wrap them with low profiles... it would be super sick! On another note, I took my zuk downhill biking today. Gave all the guys rides to the top. No one could believe all the spots I could go. They said ATV's had a rough enough go of it. Those lockers worked like a dream. Next time I'll have to bring the camera (oops).
