Hi all, i'm new to the site and soon to be a new owner of a mitsubishi delica. My husband and i were thinking of getting the super exceed (still open to other models) and we were wondering if anyone had any insights into who the most reputable dealer is in Vancouver and if there are none what our best bet is on the Island? We need to go through a dealership because we want to trade in our 97'Honda Coupe Si.
Cheers

5 Star in Parksville took our Windstar on trade. We had a good experience with them, especially after we learned they deal with ccautos as their importer/mechanic. I'll let the Vancouverites talk about the dealers on the mainland.

Re: Reputable Dealer?
Hi,
I don't know of any reputable lower mainland dealers who take trades. But if you want me to check out any, I am happy to. My advice : it is more important to buy from a GREAT mechanic, as you will need someone willing to give you telephone support in the future, and mail you parts etc. Some dealers here don't do their own servicing, they just ship em in, send em off for service, then sell em. Mararmeisto's advice is good.
Perhaps, Can you sell your vehicle privately, then just fly here. Gives you more choice of places to buy from. I am happy to organize a delica convoy for Vancouver airport pickup. Welcome to stay at our place, if we're not away Delica camping.
Keep in touch, can also PM me. Christine.

IN Metro Vancouver area:
1) Terra2 Imports; has a dealership in Burnaby (less than 10 minutes from Vancouver) - you have 3 options: they buy for you in japan on auction, or they have containers arriving weekly, OR best option! they have them on their lot, complied, repaired, you can actually drive it!
2) Crown Tech Auto: (i like the idea posted already about buying from a really good mechanic) the owner also certifies RHD vehicles and is in touch SO many Delica owners and currently hooked up my friend in a private deal with a totally complied and repaired Delica. (North Vancouver)
Terra uses Crown as one? of their mechanics.

Re: Reputable Dealer?
thank-you all for your replies we did indeed decide to go with a reputable dealer/mechanic and are opting to sell our honda "rhonda" privately. we found our delica at mardy's and are just waiting for the new addition to our family to get fancied up for take home.we'll send a pic when she's all settled in.

Well done,
You probably saved yourself close to $3000 (probably more) by buying from Mardy instead of Terra2 for a similarly maintained vehicle.
Enjoy!
