"Print Friendly" option

I just tried to print out a thread, but ran into difficulties, especially when people had a wide signature (it cut off their post as well). I cut and paste into word processor, but that could get difficult if it's a long thread.

How about a print friendly option that displays only the content (no side bar or banner or sigs)?

Good suggestion - when I have some time, I will develop a printer CSS stylesheet.

This may take some time for me to get setup. In the meantime, an option is to find the topic using the Mobile Site (works in normal browsers as well), and print from there. If this works, what I could do is ad a link to the mobile version of each page from each topic post.

For example, the mobile (also print-friendly) version of this page can be found at: http://www.delica.ca/forum/mo/viewtopic ... ic_id=2974

That's perfect - even better than I was thinking, because you can choose which posts to expand and which not to, so any hijacks can be kept to a minimum and only relevant posts printed in full.

And then it's just a matter of printing in grayscale.

Glad to hear this works - I still plan to link "print-friendly" versions of the topics (either as a print style, or as a link to the mobile style).

I noticed that there's a minor bug in the mobile style -- relates to the "View Full Post" link. When viewing the full post, the "Topic" link points back to the foum (should point to the topic itself). Most "modern" mobile phones now have a "back" button -- however my 8-year-old Audiovox dinosaur phone does not, which makes this bug annoying. This will be fixed later this week.
