Had to move my new acquisition from Smithers to Houston. Good thing its small.
The timing couldn't be better, as the Delica is out of commission for a while.

It was just a little too long with the box on the front of the flat deck. The only option was sideways. Just over 10 feet wide. I wish I took video of the loading process. The quad ramp has pretty wide spacing so it was a bumpy ride up. I have lots planned for this little unit.

It was fun following it back to houston, it was remarkably stable on the back of the pickup. I'm glad it went to a fun home! I can't wait till my new one arrives. James, we will have fun tricking these out!

jwf,
Didn't see your post. This is a 1991 Suzuki Carry on the back of a 2005 ish GMC 3/4 ton. There are several other makers of the Kei Trucks including the Subaru Sambar, Honda Acty, Mitsubishi Mincab, Daihatsu Hijet. they all have size and engine limits. The max engine size is 660 cc's of raw power. Most of the engines in these are used in industrial applications such as lawn equipment.
My plans are different again. I can get a Suzuki rolling chassis with a 50% larger 1 litre engine and axles. I hope to do a solid axle swap on the front, shoehorn the 1 litre in, and roll on some larger rubber. That is all after I turn it into a small welding truck. I am going to put an engine driven MIG welder (Miller Renegade 180 for those interested), my plasma cutter, and some kind of compressor on a custom rear deck.
