WVO filtered oil available

I have an army of dedicated oil jugs waiting to be used. It came obvious that I won't be able to use all the oil I have so if anyone is interested in very good quality filtered oil just PM me.

It's pure Canola oil from a Sushi restaurant. They change their oil every other day and don't add any water in it. I still de-water it and filter it down to 10u.
Right now I have over 100 gallons readily available. And I still have another 100 gallons or so waiting to be filtered... I'm in Burnaby just East of Kingsway and Royal Oak.

And here's a picture of part of my filtration system.

Same here! At least I got both my tanks ready, just need to do some final adjustment on tank mounting and install the entire system.
I could have even more jugs on the picture but I ran out of them. I still have another 55 gallons drums waiting to be emptied!
But for those without a kit you can still use about 25% veggie mixed with your diesel, especially at this time of the year. It will bring the cost of your fuel below the $1.50 mark...

Maybe I could pick up a jug on my way through to Calgary in a couple weeks' time? I don't have a veggie system, but the 25% mix would work well (been doing a lot of reading on that and also recycled dino-oil burning).

Nice stash David, now you just need a couple of 1000L totes to hold your surplus in. I've been running through so much oil I've only had to use one of the totes.
You should register on
www.fillup4free.com and offer out your oil to the non-Delica world as well. It's also a good place to make veggie oil road trip contacts.

Yes, nice stash David. Hope we have a chance to take you up on your most generous offer in the next two months!
Do plan to fill directly from those jugs? I have been using a 1.125" thru hull fitting I (didn't know I) had around, mounted into a 1.5" hole drilled into a jug cap, with 12" of black flex hose for bilge pumps. Drilling has to be centered for no leaks. Had to buy that last part, for a total of 70 cents. Works well, but have to be remember not to get impatient and squeeze the jugs hard during filling; then it can go in way too fast. Overall it's faster then a jerry can.
One of these -

There's a good chance a nice family in Burnaby has one!
Regards,
Kev

Thanks Adam,
Yes, that's both good ideas! The tote seem hard to find or I just don't know where to look for. It would work really good with my space.
Kevin,
As always, good innovative idea! Where can I find these?
Also, can you send me pics of the filler on your van? (the one set-up similar to EricN). Eric is saying yours is way nicer...
Thanks again,
David

I found a place like 6 months ago that said that they get like 4 of those totes a months but they never called back and I have forgotten where it was :( I could really use 2 of those myself.

Hi Delicat,
Re: BC Delica's post above, with picture of a white thru hull fitting .... well, as usual BC Delica knows everything ... we have a white thru hull fitting sitting in the mailbox outside our front door waiting for Delicat to pick up (Jay didnt know he had one, till he saw the post, so went downstairs ... poof magically the thru hull appeared, thanks Kev...).
Jay can help you install it (remember he has a specialized hole saw set, and is desperate to make holes in things, especially delii).
I will accept your generous offer of filtered oil, useful as my current job commute is to West Van.
I can pickup Friday evening, or anytime this weekend.
Cheers, Christine of the TardisDeli (aka "That Nice Family in Burnaby).

Very cool Christine, thanks for the parts...
This weekend might work. Marameisto is coming to my place Sunday morning (early) as well. I'll see if I can drop by your place either Thursday as Friday might be busy with picking up my 2nd Delica at the Port... Saturday?
Will call you.
Cheers,
David
