I've been looking around, but I can't seem to find the part number for an automatic transmission filter (& gasket), does anyone know it? And do all auto transmission use the same filter, or are there different filters for different transmissions? I suppose that would lead one to ask: how do I find out what model of transmission I have?
Also, does anyone know how much transmission fluid is required? I need to get it flushed because the old stuff is past it. I know I need dextron 3, but how much would I need to flush the transmission?
And this question, well, it pains me to ask it: which dipstick is for the transmission? I thought I had them sorted out, but the guy at the oil change place (who, admittedly, had never seen a Delica before) told me the oil dipstick was not the one I thought it was. Either he's wrong and I'm right (nice!), or he's right and I'm an idiot. I defer to the most excellent knowledge and good humour of the Delica community....
thanks,
turf'd

Re: transmission fluid & filter
The transmision dipstick is the larger, more prominent one toward the rear.
The engine dipstick is the smaller one that you sort of have to reach underneath for.

man, if you can't tell them apart your tranny fluid must TRULY be past it's 'best before' date..
Get the filter kit too. They're pretty cheap.

Thanks for the clarification! (Turns out the dipstick was in the driver's seat)
And yes, I definitely do need to get the fluid changed.
Anyone know where to get the filter kit? (and part number)
Thanks again!
