are we allowed to talk about the strada(mitsubishi pickup) in here?
they look like pretty decent vehicles but aren't nearly as popular as the delica here. i'd like to take a look at one but can't seem to find one anyplace.

We have a bunch of Strada's (Stradii?) in Australia, but we call them by a different name - Triton... from what I've seen they can be nice beasts! I'd still rather a Hilux though
They've certainly gotten more reliable in recent years though, and the earlier models weren't as well regarded as they are now... still, they're a very different pickup from what is mostly on offer now in North America, so go ahead and be different!

Hi,
I'm the owner of a Strada. It's a Mitsubishi pick-up with the same engine as the Delica.
4 doors,4WD and good looking. The Strada had many names around the world:USA-Canada it was
sell by Dodge as the Ram 50 or Mighty Max for Mitsubishi. Not many diesel and no 4 doors. In other
country it was badged L200 (Europe,Middle East,etc...)Triton (Australia,Indonesia,etc..) and
Strada (Japan).
I send you a picture .

We have them here badged as the L200.
Ones that shape were generally imports but we did get the single cab as an official car.
Then the later shape arrived and I think Mitsubishi realised that they where missing out in potential sales so we got it in all forms right up to the top spec warrior /animal. For some reason though we only got it with the 2.5 diesel engine, no 2.8 or v6 which is availiable as a grey import.
It went through several "face lifts"
And then ended up like this....................
Which I think looks a bit girly for a pickup!
As with the Delica, Mitsubishi have over done the model and spec range a bit.
Starting off with a 2wd single cab
4wd single cab (GL)
4wd extended cab (GL)
4wd double cab (GL)
Then the double cab went up through the range as 4work, 4life, animal, then warrior (top of the range)
And now they offer the whole range in extended cab form as well for anyone that needs the space but wants to have the comforts of the higher spec models.
They have quite a following over here and there are some really nice ones about with an L200 owners club as well.

It's true that there is not as many Strada compared to Delica, but it's not too hard to find one.
The price for a Strada in Japan is much higher than for the Delica. So the price in Canada is
in the same way.Maybe that's why there is not many Strada on the road. And also,Strada are
available only with manual,5 speed transmission. No automatic until 1998.Many people prefer automatic,Delica have automatic transmission...
Just for info,J cruisers,Zenautoworks,Vancouver island Custom Car Imports and Japanoid have
Strada for sale.Japanoid is a 1993 model.
And if interested,Silk Road Autos is able to have Strada anytime thru special order.

Amazing! I just found this website today and I can't believe you have a sub forum on here for my truck! I thought I was the only one with one of these rare beauties..but now I know more exist. Very cool. I have a Mitsubishi Mighty Max (US version), which is like a Dodge D50 (Canadian version) which is also the Strata (Japanese version). It's been an incredible truck, super reliable, but a real PITA to modify. Trial and error is what it has been all about with the mods on my truck...especially considering I have very little mechanical skill. It has a V6 3.0L 5 spd, and the mods I've done are 32" tires, 2" suspension lift, 3" body lift, and a rear LSD. It's nice to find a 4x4 website that's not all about monster trucks and rednecks!
I've added a few pics so you can see what the North American version looks like.
