usually excellent but 3 or 4 times over the last couple days I have been completely unable to get to the site for 2-10 minutes approx. just thought I would let you know.

Hmm -- Usually when this website goes down, its caused by Yours Truly "fixing" something that I oughtn't be tinkering with. However, this week I've been good and have resisted the urge to toy around!
Are others experiencing similar trouble with website performance?
If server performance is adequate, my preference is NOT to migrate another server at this time (migrating can be a huge pain, due to different PHP/MySQL versions running on the different servers, & requires recreation of databases, etc). However, lets keep an eye on this (and share notes on performance) over the next few weeks...
Thanks for bringing this up, and have a great weekend!
-Mark

It's been fine for me. What internet provider do you use, Loki?

i've had no problems at all, sounds like an internet provider issue.

no issues here recently, I've noticed the occasional "mark outage" in the past, but nothing recently

Almost all internet was affected locally this past week, the huge power failure in downtown vancouver which lasted several days affected the "internet backbone", and was on and off dealing with backlogs. hey... any other old time techies remember how the ARPA net was created to supposedly bypass any local service problems ... obviously the backbone reliance issue is still there ... I miss dos.

it was designed to route around anything... but then it was privatized... and companies discovered that it was cheaper to avoid redundancy...

I suppose it could have been my provider but I was accessing it at work and all other sites where fine as well as me not getting any calls, and I get calls right away if the tubes of the interwebs gets plugged :P. I can't recall if it has happened at home as well or not, I will try to write down when it happens next time and post it when I get access again.

It appears to be something with my browse or an add-on sorry, I have IE7 with IE7Pro, looked like the site was down earlier today, so I opened it in firefox and it was fine, so I restarted IE7 and it worked again.

At my work 'Big blue company' IE7 is mocked quite harshly.
If it were only to work like they say it does.
