O.k. I did a search. I also did a search on the uk site too..... No luck. Have any of you done the steering wheel change ? DO you have pictures or a very good "how to" Of the process ? I am sure it is easy i just have not done it before. The nice thing is that i don't care if i break my stock steering wheel in the process. First thing i noticed is that i will have to pull the fuse for the horn !!! i was not making any friends in my neighbourhood trying to pry off the huge "bumper car" horn pad !!!! HONK........HONK...........HONKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK !!!!! LOL'S

I did not have the time to look through 1,800 search results for "steering wheel replacement" !!! I had no idea that the uk forum was so full of information !!! It was totally too much...... I have never really checked it out before

I knew delicat would not be off the forum very long ! Did not even make it one day for god sake !!!! hahahaha

SO i did the steering wheel tonight and it was easy as pie !! IT took me 20 min's. I need to get an alignment done so i can tell if i have it centered properly though. IT is kinda pointing to the left becase my van is pulling to the right.

Did mine on the weekend too! Quite easy.

I put this one in http://www.grantproducts.com/pc-18-3-classic-model.aspx. $140ish at Lordco, not the $158 listed on the Grant site. Pretty cool....I think so at least.

The First time my horn stuck on was in Edmonton in January 26-30 was about -46c 2am in the morning on a weekday.. i woke up in a strange town in a strange bed with someone in the neighborhood banging on the door.. and of course soon as i opened the door it was apparent that i was the cause of the disturbance. and the solution too..

so i was out in my pajamas and ripped off the center horn bit without the use of tools and unplugged it. amazing what the cold and alittle desperation to make the noise stop.. can do.

and of course i had to light a fire under my Delica in that temp to get it to start..

But now i have an aftermarket wheel and hub that look quite nice.. Momo wheel :)))) all wood and very smooth.. with a Delica specific hub that i got from Mardy along with the wheel aswell.

The previous owner of my Van i figure was a heavy smoker and the color of the wheel had been permanently discoloured so even with the horn fix with some plastic stir sticks it had to go..
