OOPS! scraped/bashed skid plate

Lesson learned. I have to stop thinking like a mtn biker when driving DeLOOKA.

I bottomed out my front end and bashed/scraped the skid plate that protects the oil pan. Well i think it's the oil pan. Do I need to worry? Did i hit the skid plate hard enough that "maybe" i jiggled something in the engine compartment? Engine sounds normal.

I don't have a visible leak and I don't see a blob of anything on the road when parked.

Do I need to worry?

Thanks,
Isaac

The purpose of a skid plate is so you can do what you did and not have to worry so much like you are.

That being said, keep your eye on it. It may take a while for the oil to seep through a mildly-cracked oil pan. Also, check the bolts around the edge - might have jarred 'em loose if you hit it that hard. Also, check to see if you pushed the bash plate upwards on its mounts - you may not have wrecked anything, but you may have wrecked where the plate mounts (which will make remounting difficult).

Finally, drive around the pointing-straight-up-in-the-middle-of-the-dirt-path stuff. It's easier on your underside.
