part numbers help... but the next question is... where in canada can we get those parts? can we ask a mitsubishi dealer to order them in? or is there somewhere else that will bring them in?

my idea was to have alternatives and yes places to buy them. i will soon post the fram oil filter number someone here used on the island used that matches pretty close to the original. things like timing belts and fuel pumps are going to the tricky ones i think, who knows. then there is the golden egg of the power shade fix.

Glow Plugs I have to double check, but I think my motor(s) is a 4D56T

The Delica principally has 5 different plugs in it here are the listings:
1982 to 93 4d55 motor Models NL-0380, PV, GV, GW, LO68P, PV, PW, NP05V, PV15VP25V, NL09P, LD69P,
all take a PM-75 plug.

6/86 on with a 4D56T motor in models N-P05W, P15W, P25W, P-35W
takes a CP-06 plug

6/93 to 3/94 with a 4D56 motor model L-039P
takes a PM-164 plug

6/93 on with a 4D56 motor models: P05V,PO-15V,P0-25V,P045V
All take a CP-07 plug

6/93 on with a 4D56T: models: P05W,P015W, P025W, P035W, PA5W, PB5W, PC5W, PA5V, PB5V, PD5V, P05T, P15T, P25T, LO39G
All take a CP-07 plug

5/94 on** with a 4M40T motor Models: KD-PE8W, PD8W, PF8W,
all take a CP-05 plug.

** this is the info Ken supplied for the Delica, but in one part of his website the same motor in the Pajero follows this pattern but Mitsubishi is listed twice, in two parts, and in the other he lists the following info for the Pajero and the Triton

PAJERO. TURBO. NK,NL 4M40T 6/1997-1999 12V-11V PM-165
TRITON MK 4M40T 1998-ON 12V-11V PM-165

After this these vehicles moved to the new 4M41T motor.

Now your other question regarding difference between CP-05 AND PM-165 IS AS FOLLOWS:-

OVERALL LENGTH. CP-05 /89.0mm PM-165. /88.0mm

HEAD TYPE. CP-05 M4 PM-165 M4

THREAD. CP-05/10X1.25. PM-165/10X1.25.

END THICK CP-05 / 5. PM-165 / 4.3. (I presume that the units are mm)

VOLTAGE CP-05 / 11 PM-165 / 11

This post isn't long enough, thought I'd add some UK part #......

Holy *****, ** *****. My part store sourced me out some glow plugs, just $270 for genuine Mitsubishi glow plugs, not including shipping. Yes that is only for four. When pricing out Aussie and UK sites I was surprised to find that glow plugs go for $12 to $8 Canadian!!!!!! http://glowplugs.com.au/mazda-tara.htm! I have already placed a order on one site.

On a positive note the torsion bar stabilizing link was worn on my Wifes Delica and for $21 bought 4, enough for both vans. Have now changed both and the ride is quieter over bumps, it was a Napa Part

Stabilizer Link Kit #265-1299.

Called Lordco on the
Dayco timing belt kit #ktba080 and
valve timing belt 94019 94012
and was told none of these is a hit.

Asked about the powersteering belt 13a 0750 and he gave me a dayco # of 17295.

Also after going over the site and gathering numbers from different posts I see that there is two different suggestions for brake pads and calipers.

one post reccomends from lordco
pn slc8055 and rpd349

another post
raybestos slc8033u, slc8032u

the numbers being so similar gives me pause.

there is also a suggestion of fuel filter #z304 and oil filter #z313 what brand are these.

Any clarity on these issues would help.

Thanks
David

i installed the slc8055 caliper on my delica and it works just fine and they offered me a 60 core replacement as well. the brakes pads may have different part numbers based on the different make up ie metal ect... they all seem to be for stock 89-91 mit. montero. i also get a great discount at lordco for being on the gabriola fire department and so i choose that store. i assume the other parts work as well. still looking for a cheap oil filter but that may take a while.

hope that helps

Changed the auto-hubs to free-wheeling (manual) hubs - part 000138A for auto tranny, 000138 for manual tranny at milneroffroad.com in the UK (sorry, not a local part), they have many Delica parts on their site.

Cross-referenced the baldwin bf7534 fuel filter to GKI GF1070

Found some glowplug info:
Mitsubishi - MD050212
Beru - 673MJ
Bosch - 0 250 202 003
Champion - CH94
Lucas/CAV - DS017
Denso - DG105
This is assuming '90-'91 Delica with 4D56T engine.

Been talking with John at Rocky mnt parts, who brings in alot of JDM parts.. he is in Delta, seems like a good knowledgeable guy. he is willing to compete on prices and will give us Delica folk a break on price if we do a large order together... seems like he can get almost anything if your willing to wait a couple weeks and ship it out to each of us separate call him up with your requests he'll want a 50 % deposit and your Vin # 604-531-6017

Mitch

post back what your ordering and how much $$ as others may want to get on board.

You should be able to source after market shocks through a jobber like lordco.

There's a landcruiser guy named Rob just south of you in Nanaimo/parksville who does work on Delicas and has some good leads on parts.
He's at 250-756- 4868

Good to hear about the guy at Rocky mountain. It's great to see how things are really coming together on this site.

cheers
