Is it possible to have more members who are able to Delete posts and Ban people that post crap onto the Forum? On other forums I belong to new members are screened before they can post, for instance someone with the login name "promofones" or "hot-nike" would be autodeclined.

It would be nice o have a report option to flag SPAM

We do have option to report SPAM, it's the little red ! at the bottom right corner, I've been reporting them regularly...

We've been fortunate enough not to have had too many "Autoposter" attacks (perhaps about 5 such episodes over the past year). Unfortunately, the only way to be 100% sure that spammers couldn't access the site would be to manually screen everybody before they can access the site -- this adds quite abit of work, and poses an inconvenience on new members (of whom 99.9% are the types who we want on this site).

FalcoColumbarius has recently joined the moderator squad, and can be thanked for successfully Nuking the Ipod-sales spammer last night. Great work Falco!

Way to go Falco! Thanks for stepping up. And yeah, what more can ya say - just a great forum - Owning a delica wouldn't be half as much fun without it

So that is what that red exclamation point is for. Even after you pointed it out it took a while for me to find it

And once someone has 'reported' a post, it will show separately in one of the extra forums that only the moderators have access to. This is how we know which ones have been reported and need to be dealt with.
