Just out of curiosity, do these spam posts result from a bot of some sort that is able to appear as though it is registered in the forum automatically, or is there actually some loser that stays up all night going from forum to forum and manually registering one by one and then making his post? Given that probably not even one in a thousand would respond, it really makes you wonder about the lives some people lead.

These losers use software programs called "Autoposters" -- I anticipate that some "human labour" is required in the site registration process. However, once registered, they can indiscriminately post 40-50 posts on a forum and annoy lots of people (until the site admins ban their IP).
