It seems that one needs a speciality shop to get work done on a Deli. I am wondering how common these shops are across canada, as i would be planning on making a tonne of roadies. Does anyone has any stories of nightmare breakdowns , im just trying to factor in the worse case scenario into my research.

Thanks so much!

Oh, there are some nightmare breakdown stories, for sure - Lots of them have been told, or at least partially told (lots of people appear when they have an issue and don't follow up with the outcome... :?) right here on the forum. As for speciality shops, well, I'm sure glad I live only 125 km from ccautos... Still love my bus :M :-D

Its just like any other vehicle. You take care of the important stuff before you venture out on any long road trip. Basic maintenance, tires, brakes n fluids can be done anywhere. I was nervous when I bought my first diesel back 20 years ago. Now , I wouldnt buy anything but. Its like anything else for the first time, but once you get into it , you get resourceful. You can never plan for every little thing to go wrong. Delicas arent any different than other vehicles. Sure they have their own little quirks, but we all went through it , are going through it , and will keep on going through it. These are tough lil vehicles, and Im glad I bought mine. Forums like this will achieve 2 things in my mind.

1) a new learning experience - enriches the mind

2) meeting a bunch of great people - enriches the soul

As for worst case scenario.............you're a siamese twin, you are on the left , and your brother doesnt drive

Good luck
