It was Sunday morning, and yes we were pulling a trailer, we turned around to view your Canter-like vehicle after noticing your Delica, and yes it was us: the Moon Machine! My wife did ask if I was going to stop for a coffee, but I thought it was probably to early for that. Sorry we missed you.
We were camping at Gordon Bay for the night, driving back home around Cowichan Lake, and what should we see in a little out of the way town like Youbou? but a Delica! Cool!

The South Road was the worst: there was at least one time when the trailer was completely off the ground (as in flying) after I missed one particularly deep/wide pothole. Actually, I didn't miss it, which is why the trailer was in the air! It looked like the North Road was recently graded, so it wasn't too bad, but of course I wasn't going nearly fast enough because two or three locals blew past me at the wider spots (which really weren't all that wide).
I thought it was a Toyota! Oh well, it was blue, right? Not yours? I'm still trying to talk my sister into getting one for her gardening business, but she was in to ICBC this past week, listening to the 40%-lie. Actually, her biggest issue from buying a JDM is price: she doesn't have the 15,000$ to pay for one.
Tell you what: next time I'm in Youbou, I'll stop by. Course, I should probably call first (PM me your number if you like).
As to your daytime running lights, start with the module. Do your lights still work when you turn them on the usual way? If so, I would suspect the module as it's the only thing that's different. If your lights don't work at all, well then it could be the module OR the lights and you'd have to fault-find from there. That's what I'd say.
