We are putting Granola up for sale.

We found the Delica camper that we were searching for and are looking to put this one into a good home.

We never had plans to sell it, hence all of the work that's been put into it (a lot !).

Here's the list :

1992 Delica Chamonix Edition (Metallica Black on Silver)

Automatic / 2.5L Diesel (151,000km)

Winter Package (Dual batteries/glow plug system/Limited Slip rear differential/radiator guard/rear aluminum ladder)

Seats 7 + one jump seat.

Reversible middle bench seat (faces front or rear)

Rear shoulder belt restraints.

No rust on the roof & Undercarriage.

One original owner in Japan.

Delica was never smoked in.

Hypoallergenic detergents used to clean inside.

Hot/Cold Fridge Box

A/C Front/Rear

Imported and registered in BC. Government inspected (documents with Delica)

Aircared for 2 years. Passed with flying colours.

All compliance work completed in BC .

Daytime running lights, side reflectors, bulbs, headlights, etc... replaced.

Mechanical :

Timing, top end redone at 125k

New fuel/oil/transmission filters and fluids replaced less than 2 months ago.

Differential fluids flushed and filled (rear limited slip carrier).

Injectors sonic-cleaned and seals replaced.

Valve cover gasket replaced.

Newly rebuilt injection pump (complete overhaul and manufacturer spec tested)

No fuel/oil leaks anywhere on the Delica.

Dual batteries (AC Delco)

Front wheel bearings & seals replaced

Complete brake overhaul with twin-piston upgrade on the front (94+ Delica)
- Raybestos Professional Grade brake hardware used / cermanic PG pads

Custom :

Custom Lift (2.5" ride height gain over stock)

Sway bar bushings replaced

New pro comp hydraulic shocks (proper stroke length for lift kit) with 2" adapter plate

Springs re-arched and torsion bars re-indexed (firm ride)

31x10.5x15 ProComp All Terrain tires mounted on 15x8 aluminum rims (still have nipples on the tires)

Superwinch manual locking hubs on front wheels

Front Panels prepped and sealed to prevent 'wet floor syndrome'

Custom 2.5" Stainless steel side exhaust

9' Freedom II vinyl Awning (Carefree of Colorado) heavy duty awning/self-supporting

If you price out all of the work that has been done to it in the last few months, then you know the buyer is getting a bargain.

With regular maintenance (oil changes,filters,etc..) this Delica will last a very long time.

This Delica needs nothing. It is mechanically sound, clean and drives great.

Will upload more pictures soon.

SOLD

He's getting a full detail and some new glow plugs and brand new injectors next week.

Since I'm getting a deal on the injectors, the price will still be the same after the work is done. :M

Will post up to date pictures once that's done.

Couple of people asked me why mine is a couple thousand more than what's current.

Breakdown of the things that have been done in the past 6 months :

Injection pump overhaul/rebuild $1,000
Turbo rebuild $380
Full twin-piston brake upgrade (Professional Raybestos grade) $680 (not incl labor)
Front & rear wheel bearing/races/seals replaced $620
Front/Rear differential - Transmission - Transfer case - Engine - Fuel (filters and fluids replaced) $380
Rear differential pinion seal/LSD fluid R&R $240
Rear driveshaft re-balanced $140
Front panel/pop out window seals R&R ($20+my labor)
Alternator rebuilt (Voltage regulator/bearings/windings) $150
Thermostat/cooling sys flushed ($100)

Freedom II mechanical/retractable awning $1,100
Procomp AT 31x10.5x15 tires and 15x8 aluminum rims $1,200
Superwinch hubs $150
Procomp shocks + leaf sping rearch + 2.5" lift $900 (not incl labor)
2.5" Stainless steel side exhaust $370

That's over $7,500 in work and there's more.

I'll keep it in here for the week and toss it on craigslist and advertise outside of here after next week. Would like to keep him in the delica family :M

You also never calculated the skilled labour required to do all those mods. Lots of mods. = lots of time = lots of $$$! If we didn't already have a bus I'd be jumpin' at this one - Great deal! :M

Maryna said to leave the 'skilled labour' out. :-D Pass on the good karma to the next owners.

This is a repeat of our beloved Pajero. There was absolutely zero wrong with it and we had no inclination to sell it but then came across a Delica.. and you know where that got us.. into this one. :-) Didn't think we would find a pop-top Delica so we poured our $, time and ideas into this one. Low and behold, we found the camper and this one has to go. :M

I think it's priced very fair. Especially with the awning and extra's.

Hope it sells soon for you Jesse,

Anyone questioning that price is obviously a casual Delica.ca newbie just learning about these vehicles and hasn't been following along with all the upgrades over the months. That's a steal!

Sold to a good guy and a good family.

Craigslist did it. First person to look at it, took it. Hopefully, he(they'll) be here in the forums with goodies to share. :M

Jesse, Where did you get your side exhaust from? Would you do anything different to it?

Yes. Not get it done there. Poor welds, got overcharged and didn't feel that welcome.

I had to take it to another muffler shop to cut/reweld and make it satisfactory to me.

Other than that, I would go with a full SS exhaust next time. Not just a SS muffler.

Which muffler shop would you recommend?

Not sure.

I'll have to shop around soon. The place I got granola's redone was down in WA when I was shopping. They loved it. :-D
