It's not really climbing it, it's just that my Delica is a tree hugger! :-D (No trees were hurt during this fooling around, this is just an old stomp...)

Nice work Delicat. It does prove that the entry and exit angles on these vans are not bad at all :M

You should have seen me trying to get out and back in my van for the pictures, I had to jump to grab the "holyshit handle" and pull myself up! That would have been a good video to take!

Cool. But be careful out there David, many of us couldn't stand to see the Mitsushi caught greasy side up.

I couldn't even had made it within a mile with the old bus! But I would have looked good trying to get closer and put smiles on lot's of people's face!!! Old VW are still sweet in my heart...

I have to say though, trying to climb a stomp for no apparent reason is a little dumb. I admit. But it was still fun, safe and impressive to see how much angle the truck could climb. :-D

This stomp is at the end of the powerline (just before the cliff) so it's a landmark. I made it there and back through steep rocky trails, deep puddles, mud 1" deep, roots, broken beer bottles, burnt stolen trucks... I now have a weird picture to remind me that I made it... I'd really like to see pictures of other Delica on that faithful old stomp...

Good to hear from you Coaxial,

Do you know how to get to the top? About 10yrs ago I made it up the powerline but with all the new houses and gates I don't even recognize the trail entrance. All I remember is that it was a nice and rocky climb that kinda went along Buntzen Lake. I've seen a few trails to bypass the gates but they would be too much of a challenge for our Delica, at least for me...

Let me know, I'd be up for it for sure!
