Very cool. I'll be very interested in how well L400s do in Canada. L300s have done exceptionally well.

What's the manufacturing date? I thought the first L400s didn't turn 15 until next spring?

hi, dont know what to say but it need really have a good magic to pass custom otherwise it will be send back to japan.
good luck as this delica spacegear is not due unteil may 1994 starting manufacture for this type of delica. you might consider ask your contact to hold it as this wont pass the custom regulation.
good luck,
Cheers;

Hi and welcome.

We've had the L400s here for a while now, which released the L300s to general sale.
The majority are used as Taxis for the tourist industry as they require a degree of off road capability to get to the battlefields and memorials etc.
Good luck with your import as I am led to believe they are quite strict on imports over there.
I can understand restrictions to protect the local industry but when that industry doesn't make anything like Delicas you would think that there would be some leeway for specific imports.

Leeway? No, no, no, you have to buy the crap they're selling. That's all there is to it. Remember the Edsel?

We are 3 hours behind GMT and I am on Nightshift till Sunday morning, when it will be Deli playtime.
I work from 1830hrs to 0630hrs nightshift and 0630hrs to 1830hrs dayshift.
Do 5 shifts then 3 days off on a rotating system with 2 other guys.
All I do if nothing goes wrong is sit and watch the clocks go round and surf the net.
As I am a member of not only this site but 2 in UK and 1 in Australia there is always someone online during the night.Day time the boss wants his computer back.

Ian.

WOW!!! :o I've been waiting to see L400's in Canada. I know L300's are popular, but I've never seen one in real life (I live in Ontario). Hopefully I will see this on the road next time I go to Toronto.

2 questions :M

How did you get it past customs ? (manufacturer date)

How did you get it past government inspection ? (non E-coded headlights)

My understanding that there are no E-code/LHD headlights made for the L400's on this planet yet.

my understanding is that the L400 was made in an LHD version and sold in germany... probably get lights for it the same way we do for L300...
