1996 Ford Aerostar van professionally converted to a Westfalia style camper with fridge, stove, furnace and double bed. Bargain priced to sell as we are moving overseas. This is a great vehicle, ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, or taking to the ski slopes. The van has a 6 cyl 4L engine, automatic with all wheel drive, anti-lock rear brakes, driver air bag, cruise control. It has driven about 294,000 kms and the engine is running fine. We have recently replaced the alternator, fuel pump, and brake pads and cylinders. It has passed Aircare until 2010. Some of the many camper features include: - Electric fridge (battery and 120V) - 2 burner propane stove - propane tank is mounted in the vehicle and was certified in May 2008.
- propane furnace ducted to the main cabin, perfect for winter camping
- Electrical inverter to provide DC power and charge batteries from 120V
- Deep cycle battery in the back to run camper items separate from engine battery
- Double fold out bed
- Fibreglass pop top with canvas sides and ceiling fan.
- Front seats swivel to face back and demountable table.
- New stereo plays CDs and MP3s and runs an iPod or USB memory stick.
- Security alarm system

Mechanical Inspection carried out by BCAA certified mechanic on 11/05/08 – no problems at all with engine, drive shaft, brake system, exhaust or transmission. Report available.

Nice layout. Surprising to see the re-call king of american mini vans making 300,000km.

Wouldn’t swivelling front seats on a Delica be a nifty idea.

Aerostar's are so cheap to fix, it's not funny.

That's a great deal for someone looking for a small camper van.

I agree....easy to fix, loads of parts available. Just lacking on the style scale. Perhaps that would be a good donor vehicle for your camper project jfarsang? Gut it, then sell the rest to a contractor. Then again, at $6000 I guess you'd still be at a loss when its all said and done.

Different platform/guts. Wouldn't work well on a Delica.

Not my cup of tea but for 6k or less and AWD, it's not a bad deal providing mechanics are good.
