Delica vehicle height

Any body could tell me the height of your Delica? It would better if you have a rack on your roof because I am planning to buy one with a rack on top, but living in a condo I have a height restriction of 6' 9''.
Thank you
Gaven

Our sold P25 (low roof) was 6' 8", and 6' 10 to the top of the roof racks.
Old (and also sold) P35 (krystal lite roof) was 6' 10'(+) and had the rub marks from Burnabys Save-on 6' 9" parking lot entrance.
Both torsion bars wound up more then just arrived of the boat height.
David's post is a good read -

I have a height restriction of 6' 9''.
give up now on having a roof rack.
A high-roof Delica is between 6'8" to 6'10" stock... low roofs aren't THAT much lower (something like 3 inches, not enough for a rack)
most people like to crank up torsion bars and put larger tires on too, that will affect it greatly.
If you must park underground I recommend a low-roof (P25 model) and no roof rack.

A stock high roof is about 6'10.5". If it's 6'8" there's been some alterations to it, unless there is a height difference between model years...?
I don't have a low-roof, but I was told they are 6'6" stock.
My rule of thumb: don't go under anything that does not have 7' clearance.

I think mine is around 6'8" or so, under 6'10" anyway... but then again, my tires are smaller than stock... and it really doesn't matter too much for me because my antennas take me up to over 9' so I'm stuck either way...

Our P35 high roof with 30 inch goodyear tires (not oversize, just the usual) is exactly 7 feet at the highest point (as the roof curves a bit), we very carefully measured it with a stick to ensure we werent overheight for the ferry. We do not have extra lifts or any fancy crap done, but our torsion bars are properly adjusted so the deli sits level. Beware If you want to buy off the shelf roof racks for a high roof you pay extra on the risers, etc, as most vehicles don't have the rain gotters as low down as the deli.
Instead, we prefer a basket on the rear trailer hitch, the princess auto one is about $99.00 and takes 500 pounds. We got the Hitchco trailer hitch, very strong, and allows the spares tire to stay there.
Christine.

Thanks every body. I had no idea delicas were that high. Though I haven't tried one yet or seen one closely. We are still looking around. I sold my truck last July and bought a Chrylser 300 and men I like the car but it was the biggest mistake I 've done. I went camping in September and we were PACKED. Our family is growing we thought a Delica will be quite nice to have, but I definetely have to make sure of the height before I buy anything or park on the street...
Thanks a lot

your safest bet is a low roof Delica, unless it is substantially modified it will stay under your magic 6'9"

unless you need the rack all the time, you could remove the racks when not in use.
that's what I did to mine.
as for our underground, I measured over and over the route I would have to take to park in our underground.
my wife watched me drive in slowly and no problem. i have a good 2" to spare.
only mod I did was run the slightly bigger BF tires that some other members have.
Japanoid also placed a sticker inside my van that reads 7' for height and 7'2" for height with racks.
my building is 9yrs old. ground is not level. too many angles and dips getting in but still made it.
weird thing about our building, the Strata had the yellow height bar (with no numbers) placed alot higher then our underground.

found one in edmonton a while back where the height bar was a good 2' or more bellow the lowest point of the roof, that one bugged me because it knocked the antenna off my roof on the silly bar when there was no roof nearby! (Calgary also has a few outdoor parking lots with NOTHING above them except the clearance bar at the entrance... WHY????)

That would make the rack only two inches tall!
My Delica has a roof rack where the rack itself is 7" tall, not even counting the gap between the roof and the bottom of the rack. I measured mine as being 7'10" from ground to top of rack. Then it is 8'3" from ground to top of jerry cans when they are on the rack.
But, as with Green1, it's the antennas really make for fun. My usual ham antenna brings my height up to 10'11", and the top of the CB whip is 12'02" Neither of these antennas are normally on the vehicle, my usual ones are only a foot or so above the rack, and very flexible.
I've put a sticker on the dash with all those heights on it in both feet/inches and metres, so I can avoid hitting things.
So I don't even think about "overheight" on the ferries, but then living in Alberta the BC ferries are not really an issue for me.

I asked a local mall about this, and they said it was to keep out vehicles that were too heavy.
When I asked what vehicle height had to do with it they said it was to keep out vehicles that were too heavy.
There's just no reasoning with some people.
