Stealthy Bumpers, 2.5 SS Exhaust & New Lights

I was tired of the white bumpers on the black van so I stripped them down and painted them stealthy black. I also changed out the original yellow fogs for a clear fog. This helps improve the lack of light from the low beams quite a bit...it also looks cooler I think. To top everything off I bought that used 2.5 SS exhuast from Glen @ cca. If I had not tried this exhuast for myself I would never have believed that it would make that much of a difference. A combination of the bigger pipe and the high flow muffler has given this little black van a considerable push off the line. I also have a new used turbo as mine seized a few weeks ago...not really a mod though.

Also had the windsheild and upper body seams around the top of the windshield resealed. No more water coming in!

Have a look!

and the rear...the 4" tailpipe is maybe a little much. (looks like I missed a spot while washing)

that looks super. i can see the difference in your signature photo. ive been waiting a while for my black bars...
did you change the lights completely, or just the covers/lenses?
is there ever so much fog that anybody has to use their fog lights? seems to me that white is more practical for all around use..

How did you do it? I sealed the front corner parts and the end bits from the railing, but the floor is still a little bit wet after a heavy rain.

Van looks awesome... though far too clean, you'll have to fix that ;)

Even on my white van the black bars I think are the way to go (I repainted mine last year)

DEFINITELY! last weekend they were a life-saver, I just wish they had been mounted even lower (and mine are already lower than the stock ones)

On mine I ran a bead of silicon sealant along the entire length of the top of the windshield (prying back the rubber and injecting it under there) feet haven't been wet since!

I used all of the existing stuff from the original yellow fogs. I bought a set of Hella fogs and bolted them onto the existing bracket. Not a straight bolt on, but went on pretty easy with a little cutting and drilling.

For the windsheild I took it into a glass shop to see if the seals were causing the new leak. They looked at it and said that the top body seams (where the rain gutters come in) were cracked and that the entire outside of the windshield had not been sealed. They did a combination of silicon on the body seams and then sealed the entire rubber windsheild seal with some black goop. Pulling the rubber seal back like Green1 mentioned. So far the rain is staying out.

Trust me this is the first time the van has been washed in months. It's normal colour is black over road-grime grey.

Is that a stock colour? I mean the black-over-black? I don't think I've ever seen one like that before. Black-over-white; silver-over-silver; white-over-white; or any one of a number of two-tone colour combinations, but not an all black one! All you need now is the big red swoop-stripe and a spoiler, just like "Howling Mad" Murdock's ride on that ol' tv show from the 80's... you know the one!

Pretty sure it is stock but you never know with these. I am pretty sure that someone had posted all of the stock colours that were available and I am pretty sure all black was there. As Loki pointed out there are some around....I think josh had one that was black too.
