My Delica came with a broken rear view mirror.

Lordco or Canuck Tire did not carry the ones that fit on the hanging mount.

Does anyone know who would carry these? What other vehicles would have something similar that I might find at a wreckers?

Hazel's rear view was not broken, but it was really sloppy and wouldn't stay in place. I got a replacement from a wreck at ccautos. Try ccautos first, but if Glen doesn't have any you might try Malahat Auto Wreckers

Mine was sloppy too, I removed it and fabricated a bracket that the plastic cover would clip onto, (to cover the ugly) and then glued a canadian tire mount on the windshield. Away we go.....

I've got the same issue - wiggles around too much. Haven't put much thought into a repair yet so couldnt be that bad, but has crossed my mind a few times.

Erebus did a fairly quick and easy fix to the sloppy rear view that I took a half-baked stab at myself, but didn't try too hard knowing I was lined up for a good replacement from ccautos. Check out this thread - down a few posts http://www.delica.ca/forum/windshield-w ... tml#p20928 Anyway, to paraphrase Erebus, the fix is to firmly but CAREFULLY pry the mirror towards the back of the vehicle, away from the hanger. The female mirror half pops off the male hanger. Insert toothpicks or chips of plastic or metal and pop the mirror back into place. Might be easiest to detach the hanger and do this operation on your lap, but the Philips screws holding it into the bus in are really tight

Be aware... mine started off sloppy... super touchy. So, just before I went to class I decided to try and just tighten it a bit with a very thin elastic I found on the console. I pulled off the mirror to wrap the elastic around the hanger. ~Admittedly an unlikely way to fix it, but you all know the deal. You start with a "Damn this is annoying"... followed by a "I wonder if this will work" and finished with a "Oh shit, what did I just do".

As soon as I pulled off the mirror from the hanger I realized that it was sloppy because it was broken inside. A few small bits of plastic fell out of it and there was no hope that it would go back on.

There is a simple moral to this story... you should be sure you are ready to find out that you would have been better off with a sloppy mirror then no mirror.

I'll be checking out the wreckers for Delica mirrors, but do any of you know of another vehicle I should be looking into for a similar mirror mount setup?

CC Auto may have it, we had brand new ones from Japan, but currently out of stock. Alternatively you can buy universal mirror that mounts on the windshield. you can buy the glue and mirror from Princes Auto for less than $20.00.

possibly a pajero or montero? I would go to a wreckers and look in all the Mitsubishis you can find.

I didn't remember even posting that until you mentioned it. I didn't use enough toothpicks, so on the Dempster my mirror showed my cupholder. No big deal. On pavement it was fine until a week or two ago. Lost some of the toothpicks. Went with a quick-and-dirty fix: used a velcro cable wrap, and wrapped it around in the right spot. That works! And, unlike the elastic method that Jonny5ive tried, I didn't have to remove anything -- yet
