Good Easy Wire to Splice into

Hey all,
I got a good chill out day tomorrow in-between finals. So I figured I would finally set up my CB radio and loud speaker. what is a good, easy wire I can splice into? A pic would be nice.

Any one know the color of a wire I could splice into with out frying something?
