t minus 7 days! off to mexico...

got the bed and shelf installed! my father in law is a master carpenter and we just whipped it up!

2 rubbermaid totes and a crate fit under the bed. my wife is coming too so its exactly as wide as 2 thermarests (44 inches) part of the bed slides onto the other part to make a bench.
a cooler fits on the shelf just inside the door, and a 5 gallon water jug strapped to the wall on the floor there.

8 WVO jugs and some rubbermaids fit under the rear, and the middle shelf from the rear will hold my centrifuge and a rubbermaid tote and my toolbox.

over the wheel wells i toss in random stuff.

my backpacks and other luggage will be strapped to the top shelf.

the whole thing can come out in about 10 minutes of unscrewing

one word of advice, while therm-a-rests are great, and I love mine, in the Delica you will be much more comfortable with a queen size air mattress inflated beneath them, especially when spending more than a night or 2, plywood isn't very forgiving... (do keep the therm-a-rests though, they add insulation, because air mattresses just suck the heat right out of you!)

I love my thermarest laid out on a hardwood floor, but then I blow as much air into into it as I can so I guess I like a firm sleeping surface... I sure hear ya on the importance of insulation below you. The best arctic down bag won't do ya much good it the ground steals all your heat! :-D :M
