got in the van this morning after last nights low temps in vancouver. van turned over fine but would not shift into gear. had lots of condensation frozen inside (floors, windshield) brakes are working and there is power to my shifter (the overdrive toggle is working) but cannot depress the toggle to get the van into gear.

if it's the button on the side of the lever that won't move I'd say get some heat in to thaw it, or just push harder, I believe that button is only attached right there, not linked to the transmission.

a space heater, or even a trouble light will probably do the trick in short order.
