URGENT: wiper problem -- SOLVED

So... I thought I removed all the ice and snow from my windshield this morning, but alas, there was a little bit of ice at the top. Turned on the wipers, they hit the ice, and both wipers flew off. Seriously. Went to pop them back on and realized that the connector on the wiper arm broke, thus I cannot pop the blades back on.
I know I can get the blades and harness at CT, put what about repairing the wiper arm connector???

the arm is all metal, if you get the right blades it all comes with it.

It's actually the plastic pin on the arm that the wipers snap onto that broke.

At CT? I guess it's not one size fits all. I know the wiper length, but not the arm length.

the plastic bits all come with the wipers is what I'm saying, the metal arm is bent in a U at the end and the wiper slides into that.

you don't need to know the arm length just the mount style

Excuse my not understanding, but are we talking about the same thing? I know of three parts to the wiper:
1. the rubber wiper that touches the window.
2. the harness the rubber wiper slides into
3. the arm that the motor actually moves
it's the connector on the arm that is broken. The harness and wiper are fine. I thought the harness popped onto the arm - not slides in?

Ah - I see. Thank-you. I'll take a look.

They are indeed the hook type. I'll go to CT and see what they offer. Thanks so much Loki.
Man I love this site.

BTW, you can put on much longer blades than stock. Driver's side can take 20", passenger, 19", and the rear 17"
Gives a much better view. Good luck with CT. I took my wiper bits back a week after I bought them -- the rubber separated from the metal frame in the first ice. Went to AutoValue and got better ones instead.

Problem solved. Bought CT ones, and the connector had the pin I needed. Using metal wipers instead of plastic this time, although the connector is still plastic.

Which set (front & back) would you recommend and how much $$$?

I bought the CT brand metal wiper blades. They were $5.99 each. They are the cheapest they had, but I think they are better quality than what I had, which were all plastic. We'll see how they do for the rest of the winter. They went up in price to Armor All brand which were $27 each!
The thing I learned through this episode was to park the Delica on a freezing night with the wiper blades pulled up (like when you squeegee the windshield). I also learned that the wiper motor is more powerful than I thought. The blade went flying when it snapped off at the top of its arc.
