Ok I've done some reading so dont get too mad at this post. Water and air infaltration in the lines and tank bad, not to mention bad fuel and the possible lack of cetane. I get the black/grey/white at start, however when pluged in, no smoke and a great start?
Glows are fresh. Fuel filter new.
Is it possible that a new fuel filter bleed is in order?

Yeah you might be right Patty, but Im parked next to Dodge pick-up (diesel) and it fires right up without a puff. As a matter of fact, I fill the area with a large cloud and its gaining attention. It could be thought of as a cloaking device, as the Mule is white too!

What vintage is the Dodge? Our Delicas are old-school mechanically-injected diesels. They do not have the fancy computer-controlled engine management of new cars or trucks.
