Hey everyone,
I got my Bravo van here in Winnipeg October 2008 and would like to find other Mitsubishi import owners in Winnipeg. I love this van and want to know what others have learned about keeping them
is good shape and running well.

Feel free to email me.

Welcome Rynow,

Wow, that Bravo is so-o-o cute. Jay wants one so he can put it across the back of our van, kinda like a lifeboat on the back of a boat. Is your Bravo 4 wheel drive? How is it in the cold weather.

Cheers, Christine and Jay.

Yup it is 4x4, it really slows down in the frigid cold.
By that i mean that I'm sure its the grease in the axles etc that is really cold and takes a bit of driving
to warm up. So I usually don't push it too much when it has been sitting out in the open in the cold.

I need to get a new battery as the one it came with just can't handle minus 30-40 windchill out in the open.
But it starts every morning in my unheated garage when I have the oil pan heater plugged in over night.

Did you have to have your lights converted out there?
I'm looking to get mine done.

Welcome. I do like those small vehicles -- so cute and useful, something nothing North American can do.

And yes, you really do need to get headlights that are "right" for driving on the right. The usual route for Delica owners is to get European E-code headlights from Germany. The usual brand is "Depo". Delica headlights won't fit your's, but if the Bravo was sold in Europe you should be able to find a set. Perhaps contact Mardy on this forum and ask him if he can get you a set?

Failure to convert the lights will mean that you are blinding oncoming traffic; not something you really want to do.

I know you've been asking a lot about headlights, I posted in another forum that you should check to see if those were ever sold in a LHD country to find headlights.
Alternatively, if they haven't been, you'll have to have some creativity... looking at that picture, the first thing that comes to mind is that the lights might be "close" to standard rectangular sealed beam (I realize it won't be a perfect fit, but you might be able to rig something)
The other option I see is to buy DOT projectors, and effectively build yourself a complete unit, it's more difficult, but I know some people have had success doing that sort of thing on various vehicles.

by Manitoba Delica
Hello there, good to know of other Mitsubishi owners here in MAnitoba... We are not in Winnipeg, but out in Riding Mountain.. I'd be happy to share anything I've learned since getting our Delica... Definately this website has been invaluable, being linked to such an incredible community full of advice, trialsand knowledge.. Keep in touch.. As far as I know there are at least two other Delicas in Manitoba, and many more LAndcruisers/Hiluxes.. That means there is also people who can work on them, but I've just been managing to do everything myself(by no means professionally)..... Good luck, anjoy your van...

Sorry. MardyDelica is his online name on this forum. He's one of the "big three" for Delica parts and vehicles, the others being ccautos and Rocky Mountain Imports. They should be listed in the supplier section of this forum.
