First trip in the Delica

I thought I would share my travel in a quick little message.
Saskatoon -> Athabasca (AB) -> Edmonton and back the same route.
Roughly 2000 km after all the side trips.
I realized the following. I like it :)
There is such a huge difference in gas mileage if you jump over the 3000 rpm.
Van worked good, kids loved it. Got great looks when we pulled up at
the huge hill to go sledding. Work great for off the road geocaches.
Good fuel mileage too.

91 Delica 5 speed manual.
:)
Pictures are kicking around somewhere.

Good to hear. :-D What kind of mileage did you get with the 5 speed?

Ok
I have some info to post
My trip was: 2047 km in length
I spent one night sleeping in the back with the van
idling in -26 celcius weather. I bumped it up to a fast idle
so it wasn't idling normal. (Good sleep by the way)
Fuel mileage : 26 mpg including city and highway.
Weight of Vehicle : 2140 kg (ft axle 1270, rear 880)
Needed the weight for a geocache I set up... don't ask ;)
The van ran great!
I'm guessing it will do even better in the summer.
