Global Delica owner map?

Any chance we could get an active global Delica owners map similar to this one taken from the site

I would be nice to "see" where members reside and could also be practical while traveling.
If options like wvo users with available oil could be added that'd be bonus! (hint hint)
Other options could be garages servicing the Delica throughout Canada (Butch, Glen...).
I'm sure more options would be nice without clogging the map but what do you Delicatessen people think?

oh please don't...
I think it was MDOCUK that put one of those at the bottom of every page, all it did was slow down the load times significantly.

just implement it differently, at the bottom of every page is silly imo, as a resource you can click to that is a nice feature.

Agreed, at the bottom of every page would be dumb. It'd be much more useful if a specific forum was made up for it so if you want to see it (like the FAQ) you need to get there to view it.

Funny you mention it David. It's actually on my list of thing we could improve on delica.ca. Just need to find time on the weekend to meet with Mark :)

any one got the original data which made the above map? mark flexboi?
would be extraordinarily useful, who knows if i do a good job we could just load the one i make to the website!

The new map should use somehow the database of the existing "Driver" MySQL table. There are actually a few mods for phpbb to do that (or maybe any other options to use the database)
I think it would be not a good idea to move "private" user-data outside this environment. But if you have experience with php or any other ways to do it I would really appreciate your help with a Driver Map.
