The front window shades on my new Delica where quite faded and milky to look through, I had tried different cleaners and Armor-all, and nothing made much of a difference. A mechanic today told me to try car wax, I used Nu-finish as it was all I had. Works great, they look almost new. I polished the drivers side three times and found that each time the fine scratches already in the shades started to disappear.

Had to share this, I had thought a car polish would be too abrasive on a clear surface. 8)

Believe it or not, Brasso will clean those shades to new as well, go figure.

I know this is an old thread, but I just had to comment, used Turtle Wax on mine today and WOW what a difference! I can actually see through them now!

Thanks for the reminder though! All the loggings road and the infrequent wash downs have left my shades 'opaque grey'.
