Any one have experience with the 93 delica Glow plug operation? I just got my van and I want to make sure I am not doing something wrong. Right now there is a light on the dash that lights up when the engine is cold and indicates that glow plugs are needed. There is the same initial click, and then a second click about 5-6 seconds later regardless of temperature, but the light on the dash goes off after about 1 or 2 seconds. If I wait for the second click and try to start the engine immediately after the click, nothing happens. I have to turn the key to the off position and then turn it back on right after. Should I start the engine after the light goes off or do I need to wait for the second click and then turn the key off and then crank?

Wait for the second click and then proceed to start the engine. The second click comes from behind the driver's seat and indeed is routinely 5-6 seconds after the first. Once the engine is warmed up, you do not have to wait for the second click to start the engine.

So after the second click do you have to turn the key off and then turn it back on to start the engine, or do you proceed directly after the second click to start the engine? Also do you have the glow plug light on the dash board?

You should not have to turn the key off and then back on before you start it. You should be able to just start it after the second click.
Ours does not have a glow plug light. It has a light for the fuel filter/water trap (at least that is what I was told it was) that comes on briefly when the key is first turned on.
With ours, you can proceed straight to crank after hearing the second click. In fact, you do not have to wait for the second click, but crank immediately if so desired (ie. engine already fully warmed up).
If you are having to turn the key off after the second click and then back on in order to get the engine to crank, I would think there is something wrong. Hopefully someone a lot more knowledgeable than I will chime in.

Your van is the newer model with the super glow plug. No need to wait for the clicks, as soon as your light is off go ahead and crank your engine. These glow plugs are much quicker than the older type so often you won't even see the light.
