im sure this is here on the site somewhere, but i failed a search:
i got a phone call from my father in law that his headlights stay on when the key is off. its a jasper. i wired the DRL's myself, exactly like my van, last july.
i used a relay and followed a wiring diagram i found here on the forum. i did not use a DRL kit.

Did he check to make sure the fog lights are off?
Other than that, without looking and seeing can’t help much; can’t even remember (it’s early) what type headlights Bill’s van has. But if the fog lights are disconnected……
Cheers,
Kev

either a switch is on somewhere (fog lights/headlights/high beams) or there's a problem with the DRL wiring (stuck relay? grounded wire? hard to say)
again, without looking at it it is very difficult to guess.

Does it have turbo timer? There is a headlight shut off delay feature in most timers.

Has he by chance left a battery pack plugged into a cigarette lighter for charging? That will power the lights from the other side of the ignition.
Falco.

I had something similar to this happening caused by a blown horn fuse, of all things. I would check all the fuses just to be sure. Probably not bother with the secret battery compartment fuses or the super secret behind glovebox fuses though

Sounds like the same problem we had ,Where a plastic arm broke off on the end of the shaft thus the switch is still on and you can't shut the headlights off. End up replacing the headlight switch. You could try fixxing it but its not for the faint of heart.Good luck cheers Jay.
