Easter in Calgary

Hey guys,
Depending on what shakes that weekend most of the family should
be driving the deli to Calgary to meet up with more family etc etc.
Wouldn't mind meeting a few people however that being said our
deli is waiting for some timing belt/parts which should be in today.
Then arranging a time to have them installed here in Saskatoon.

I don't want to put 2000 km on (we are heading up through athabasca)
without that work done first.

Anyone planning on being around, maybe a cup of coffee?

I'm on call that weekend but can always sneak away for an hour or two. Maybe make a call as far as a time and spot, and go for a just because group gathering?
Keeper of the stickers, are you out there? Many Deli's few with markings!

:? You've been to Vancouver right? If you want flatlanders in delicas you best be heading east from Calgary - or did you mean "lowlanders" in delicas? :-D :M

lowlanders, flatlanders, they are all the same to a space alien. Depending on schedules, I'll see one set, the other, or both.

Sadly, or happily, I will be meeting with Vancouver-area Delis on the weekend, so I won't be at whatever meet happens.

I suggest you post on the Events-Alberta section, and hopefully someone, or yourself, will pick a place and time.

Enjoy, and maybe I'll see you next time.

I may be there easter weekend. Might bring the van, if I can find a decent shop to do the timing belt water pump service. Any suggestions of good shops in calgary with delica experience, and possibly with the parts on hand?

I don't recommend ProActive. I wasn't happy with the quality of the work they did.

Kirkham is great, but not sure if they would do the belts, etc. They don't have diesel-trained mechanics. Phone them and ask 403-253-2035. Heritage & Macleod Trail.

Stevo (3505 16th St. SW Calgary 403-287-1334 403-287-1335) shouldn't have a problem doing it, but then tend to be a bit slow.

The parts are readily available from CCautos to be shipped to Calgary. Doubt any place would have the parts in stock.

If you are available for coffee or something fun maybe PM me
so I have a couple numbers to call. I do realize sunday is easter
so we can play around timewise or daywise a bit.
Thanks
James.
P.S. I would love a sticker or two for the Deli :)

Crazy times.
Just in case anyone was following the conversation.
Did make it to Calgary via Edmonton for Easter.
But darned if it wasn't a crazy time family-wise.
Wasn't able to give enough notice and people were busy.

Next time we can make something of it and possibly I
can make it to a meet.
Thanks to all.

James
