Intermediate steering shaft replacement

The lower universal joint in the intermediate steering shaft that goes in to the steering box has seized. Does anyone know if the LHD and RHD use the same shaft? Also, is it same as a Montero/Pajero? The parts sites list it under wagon, but the listing only shows Montero when you click on it and the illustration is not the same as what I am looking at.
It looks like the lower section is designed to collapse, so I am not sure it cutting it off and install a pinch style u-joint it a good idea.
Any thoughts?

They are expert Delica mechanics, and I know he also worked on the USA model, and knows the gas models. He also sells new and used parts, and often mails them afar. Just trust him totally.

Surprisingly I was able to order the part from the dealer this morning.

hi, there is available parts in the us for your LHD wagon.
as per LHD shaft & rHD shaft they are totally different as it is made for LHD. other is design for RHD.
but for sure you can get this part in uS. try to call mitsubishi dealer for sure 100% you can get it.

The plot thickens. I just got a call from the dealer now telling me the part is discontinued.
Thanks for the corrected link. I see ccauto has a complete column listed. As long as the part I need is the same I should be all set. I will be emailing shortly.
The intermediate shaft is the part the goes from the joint in the tilt part of the column through the floor to the steering box. It should be the same, as it is not specific to LHD or RHD.
This is the first time I have not been able to get a part. I really appreciate everyone's help so far.

Take it into a parts shop and have them match it up.

I have been to several parts stores, but they don't have anything. I can get drive line u-joints, but nothing this small. The joints aren't designed to be serviced. It may be possible to drill the caps out and machine a lips for a snap ring, but I don't thing there is enough material thickens in the yoke.
I am in American iron country remember. The attitude here is "That car is old. Old is bad. Buy a new one." Why should I spend $20-40K on something new that is not as capable as this old thing, which I can keep running for a great deal less?
Here is a picture of the column with the shaft out. The part I need it highlighted.

Update: I installed the replacement shaft on Saturday and the steering works again.
I got an entire column, but ended up just changing the shaft out. The lower plastic cover on mine is skewed slightly to the left. The RHD only is slightly to the right. Replacing just that part required completely disassembling the shaft. I didn't want to pull the wheel off and transfer the wiper and signal controls.
The floor plate that the lower cover attaches to is the same, so no changes there.
The only difference in the parts is the US spec shaft has a bit that is supposed to slide together and the JDM part does not.
Oh, the other difference is these used JDM parts look like brand new. It must nice to live somewhere it hardly ever snows and isn't salted like crazy. I guess the comes with living above a salt mine.
