Mitsubishi have done a D:5 Chamonix. http://www.mitsubishi-motors.tv/index.h ... _kazokuw30

The happy Japanese family have turned in their gliders and rock climbing gear for snowboards. :-)

I hear persistent rumours of a Hello Kitty D:5 ad  , but haven't been able to find it online.

A lifted one of those with nice low offset wheels and big rubber would look pretty damned cool, the interior however looks a bit too 90's jag.

all of this viewed from computer at work with no sound, but I can imagine the bouquet, somewhere between camembert and limburger.

They have gone back to the "box" !! I love it. I think it would be great. Now if we can only convince mitsubishi of north america that they need to go through the steps to bring this to our market !!
Why do we not have any 4 wheel drive diesel vans ?? !!!!

What? The big 3 make something practical AND cool? Surely you jest.

The D:5 is built on the same platform as the Mitsubishi Outlander, same engine, chassis, suspension, driveline. I'd love to see it here too. Since it meets much the same safety and emissions standards as North American vehicles do, it's hard to invoke safety or emissions as an excuse. If Nissan can do it with the GT-R and Cube, surely Mitsubishi can do it too...

Near the top of my Why The Hell Not list is this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8iLm30jkfvQ. Apparently there are prototype iEVs running around, but you can't buy one quite yet. The gas engine i (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWwVeQRp7zE) is a very hot seller. The electric version has exactly the same performance as the gas engine i, just shorter range on a charge.
