I try the search for the best part of an 1/2 an hour but nothing came up! is someone have a tire chart for conversion into metric(e.i.: 31/10.50R15=X/Y R15). I got confusing info from 2 different shop and I figure that one of the 2 doesnt know what they are talking about( but I dont know witch one ) thanks for the help. pierre

nevermind, found it on redrock 4x4.com

30X9.50 R15 = 235/75R15
31X10.50 R15= 265/75R15
32X10.50 R15 = 265/80 R15
33X12.50 R15= 315/75 R15

N.B. : the metric mesurement are approximation

Yup, approximative 'cause 235's aren't 30's but closer to 29's.

So after trying it the other way( with the same site) I get different numbers if you put 30X9.50 R15 in, it will give you 241/79 R15. than if you put 235/75 R15, it will give you 28.9X9.30R15. I'm a bit confuse , but how cares, I was just wandering if the 32" in metric would be a bit smaller in metric size and therefore fit , alas, no. I guess I will try your suggestion David. Later

you can do the math yourself a 235/75 r15 tire is 235mm wide the 75 represents 75% of tire width equals sidewall height.

therefore 235mm wide = 9.4 inches (25mm per inch)

sidewall height 235 x .75 = 176.25mm or 7 inches per sidewall

so 7 inches x 2 =14inches plus the 15 inch rim = 29 inches overall tire height

But...in Canada tires are sized "No wider than, no taller than" so any two different brands with same sizes are seldom the same size (very important for 4wd vehicles).
