On the Deli hunt

Hi Everybody,
Likely considering coming to the Lower Mainland this weekend to look at Delicas. We will be checking out some dealers, but I wanted to throw a note up here, in case there is a private sale out there I should be looking at as well or maybe someone has seen a sweet rig at a dealer in passing. I am looking at '93/'94s. Preferably with low mileage and preferably 5 speed, but am considering automatics and higher mileage rigs if they are in really good shape. My wife insists it needs to have crystal lite roof, but not as a big a deal to me.
Feel free to PM or email me.
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,
You should check into James's silver van for sale, he is in the interior, but he is a long time member, and you can check his posts so you know he hasnt had problems with it.
His post is titled:
93 Silver Lowroof Auto Delica
In the long run this van would be cheaper (and more reliable) , as he has done everything including the trailer hitch (our hitch cost over $500.00 installed).
Cheers, Christine.

A water cooled diesel engine, Thats awsome, how much for that ?
Just teasing you Mardy, but it makes it sound like a radiator is an option lol

its o.k. noel,
its just some delica member dont know about the newer engine & ask me about some delica that fit with water cooled turbo & injection pump.
the engine is totally diffrent than the older one even the glow plug system & the cylinder head.
Cheers;

Thanks Mardy, we are going to swing by your place.
I am aware of the water cooled turbos with quicker glow plugs and would prefer this if I can find the right rig, but I'm still considering others as long as they are in great shape.
Cheers,
Steve

It seems the crystal lights it a big hit with the ladies and kids, actually everybody!
They are pretty neat for the passengers and for camping.
A bit more upkeep and precautions in the long run,but very very fun.
Good luck!

I would say it's a must have for regular camping trips :)

Bump....on our way down to the coast. Thanks for replies. Definitely going to see Mardy. Let me know if there's anything else out there that we should take a boo at.
Josh, if you read this, I'd consider looking at your rig this weekend since we're both down there, but not really interested in paying that much if it's not going to come with the BFG's, aftermarket wheels, rack and ladder.
Cheers everyone,
Steve
