On both Mardy's and Glenn's (Glenn of the beautiful centre consoles) Delicas, there are fender flares.....On the outside edge there appears to be some type of black rubber gasket....Any idea or explanation? Also where would/could I get this item?
Thanks for the help

It's usually just a protective rubber strip, so the fiberglass doesn't rub the paint off the side of the vehicle. If your fender flares didn't come with them (or you're making fender flares of your own), just get some rubber edge stripping from an automotive shop.
Unless I've completely misunderstood what you were asking...

Are you talking about the stuff between the flare and the van?

Mararmeisto you have hit the nail directly on the head! Luna-sea, yes I am talking about the little black strip that runs between the fender flare and where it contacts the vehicle itself. Thank you both for the help!

That stuff should not be to hard to find, I am pretty sure you can use left hand drive stuff too,
you just gotta put it on backwards.
Do you want me to e-mail you a pic of it, I have not sat down and
figured how to resize pictures for the site yet (I have failed many times).
Right on!

Not sure what the real name for that stuff is, but I've called it "fender piping" or "fender gasket". Last time I used it was when I rebuilt a VW bug. I just bought a roll of it and then you just cut notches for where the fender, or flare in your case, fastens to the vehicle. Any autobody supply store should have some or at least be able to get you some.
