Old albums and the thumbnails on the pages

Can you have the thumbnails displayed on each of the forum pages draw from current photos? I find myself wanting to see an expanded view of what appears to be an interesting photo in the corner of a page of some thread I'm reading, only to discover the album doesn't exist any more.
I realise people shuffle their images around, change albums, delete, etc, but whatever part of this BBS that picks images from those albums to display on the various pages, it should update itself more often. Is there an option for this?
Frustrated...

Thanks Paul -- this hickup seems to have developped over time, as more and more photos got deleted (with thumbnails intact), the "random" feature has started to pick up a larger percentage of photos that were previously deleted.
Unfortunately, there's no automatic option to deal with this (will require some PHP coding work) -- I will put this one down as #27 on the "TODO" list

Just an added word ~ lately I have been seeing what looks like an helicopter gun ship, like just about every time I log on. And as Mararmeisto says, I click on it and there is no gallery for it. What I find peculiar is that it is always coming on. I don't recall seeing it before. Have you guys seen it?

Sorry dude, couldn't resist. Seen too many conspiracy and mafia movies lately. But no, I've not seen the gunship image. THAT too would have caught my eye.

Ha Ha Ha. Ironically I have not seen it so far this particular log, but it is dark blue. It is hard to tell from the little thumb nail. It looks like a gun ship with the weaponry displayed out in front of it ~ like the cover of "Ummagumma" by the Pink Floyd.

Maybe it's an accessory. One only available in the Banana Republics.
