Wow, you guys are really on it! I'm impressed.
Yes, this is the T2 Monster Delica, though it is looking quite different these days. The Monster was the unfortunate victim of a break-in a while back. It was stored in "secure" storage which wasn't so secure, that yard is not used anymore. Thankfully they only took accessories and didn't harm the vehicle, much. A few of the dash clips were broken off getting at the stereo, and the sliding door roller has issues.
We're making room for our next promotional vehicle, so it is available, and we had a buyer all lined up for the Monster with BIG plans, but unfortunately that didn't work out.
It was going to be converted to Biodiesel+veggie oil, AND Hybridized to Electric! We were really looking forward to seeing the reaction of the hybrid option, and we still have the project plans if anyone is interested. (It's not cheap, it's not easy, and it's not a quick process).
The Delica is more suitable than one might think with regard to space for components and driveline access for an electric conversion, but it is by no means an ideal EV candidate. Especially this particular one, with the lift, 35" tires, and massive flares. I'll save the Electrics discussion for another time as I'll just end up ranting;)
Currently, the Monster is at Crown Tech Auto in North Van getting the timing belt, tensioners, and water pump replaced. The timing belt was done already in Japan but it's past the 5 years, and it was due for a good servicing. It's available if anyone is interested.

Wouldn't the Delica in general just be to heavy to make it a viable hybrid?
Josh.
